Day 1 Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. Trek from Nayapul to Ghandruk
From Pokhara to Nayapul is an easy 46km / 1.5 hrs drive. Trek start from Nayapul to Ghandruk. The trail descends steeply to Birethanti and follows the west bank of Modi Khola to reaches Shaulee Bazaar before climbing again to Ghandruk. From here there are beautiful views of Machhapuchre (6993m), Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and of the upper Modi Valley. (1951m - 5 hrs)
Day 2 Trek from Ghandruk to Chhomrong
From Ghandruk to Chhomrong, the highest permanent settlement in the valley, the trek gradually climbs to Deurali before dropping to cross Kimrung Khola. Ascend to Chhomrong, a Gurung village at the base of Hiunchuli Himal. There is a tremendous view of Annapurna South from here. (1951m - 4 hrs)
Day 3 Trek from Chhomrong to Himalaya Hotel
The trek takes around 7 hours to reach Himalaya Hotel from Chhomrong. After the step down to Chhomrong stream, we will be crossing the suspension bridge and then trek to Sinuwa Danda. From this Sinuwa Danda, the trail runs through thick & dark rhododendron forest up to Khuldighar. Normally from Sinuwa Danda it takes around 3 hours, to climb up the track to Himalaya Hotel. Along the way, you can view the magnificent scenery ranges of Machhapuchhre which is also known as Fishtail.
Day 4 Trek from Himalaya Hotel to Annapurna Base Camp
Staying on the west bank of the Modi River, head through a more open valley and eventually emerge into Sanctuary. Straight ahead is the high lateral moraine of the South Annapurna glacier and the Modi follows the deep cliff to the right. This is the site of Machhapuchhre base camp and you can either camp here to continue further northwest, staying above the glacial moraine, to Annapurna base camp. (4200m - 6hrs)
Day 5 Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Dovan
Descend and follow the same way to a pleasant camp spot at Dovan. (2505m - 6hrs).Enjoying the panoramic views of Mountains. You can see Rhododendron forest along with bamboo forest. You will enjoy magnificent vistas of Himalayas. Trail directly leads you downhill to Dovan.
Day 6 Trek from Dovan to New Bridge
The trail heads through rhododendron and bamboo forest before climbing steeply up to Kuldighar. It is then an easy hike to Chhomrong (lunch) before turning off from the Ghandruk path (which you trekked in on) and drops away toward the river. (1395m - 6hrs)
Day 7 Trek from New Bridge to Pothana
It is an easy walk down to the Gurung village of Landrung. Through a wonderful Rhododendron, oaks, cotton, orchid forest, it climbs on the stone path. After lunch at Tolka, the trail goes upwards to Deurali before descending again to Pothana. (1980m - 5hrs)
Day 8 Trek from Pothana to Phedi and Drive back to Pokhara
The trail follows through rhododendron forest before arrive Dhampus, it is inhabited by a mix of people: Gurung, Brahman, Magar communities. From here work down to mostly downhill through forest to Phedi from here 30 minutes drive to Pokhar.Transfer from Phedi to Pokhar.(18km/ 45 minutes).
